The PJHL has named Owen Papp the Player of the Month for January.
The PJHL are pleased to announce that Owen Papp of the Dundas Blues has been named the Player Of The Month for the South Bloomfield Division for the month of January – Owen Papp won all five of his starts in the month of January, carrying 2.20 GAA and a 0.940 SV% in those games. Owen Papp has taken the league by storm in his first PJHL season, and has only lost twice in his 18 appearances. In his 18 games, he has 16 wins, while carrying a 2.56 GAA and a 0.921 SV% as a 16-year-old goaltender. As a rookie goalie, Papp currently sits 11th in GAA against average across the league, and seventh in save percentage, while currently in a five-way deadlock for first for wins. Papp has become an integral member for the Dundas Blues tandem, winning eight of their nine games.
